Water-turbine driven pump proportioner ,in the new FM standard ,was called hydraulic driven proportioner which composed of hydraulic motor and foam pump. The hydraulic motor and foam pump are positive displacement fluid machinery, that is, the displacement of each turn is basically constant. As long as the displacement of hydraulic motor and foam pump is matched,  can achieve accurate proportioning rate.

Hydraulic motors and foam pumps can choose a variety of positive displacement fluid machinery, but to achieve accurate proportioning rate over a wide flow range, the most advanced combination isthat the sliding vane hydraulic motors and piston pumps .

The principle of the water-turbine driven pump proportioner is very simple, and the same as production process , but it is very difficult to achieve a wide range of flow, long service life, strong liquid absorption ability and low pressure loss.

Water-turbine driven pump proportioner because of the volume type mixing, in the case of using piston pump, can be applied to all types of foam agents. This is one of the obvious advantages of this proportioner , and another is that the proportioning rate can be tested without producing premix, which saves foam and is environmentallyfriendly .
